Who We Are
The Best
Practices Research Alliance is a collaborative research and
development organization founded by IBACOS and
aligned with the U.S. Department of Energy's Building America program. The goal of the
Alliance is to help improve the overall quality and performance of
homes, ultimately making zero energy a part of mainstream
America.
Four main groups form the Alliance:
- Innovative production homebuilders of all
sizes throughout the U.S. share their experiences, insights and
ideas about delivering high-performance homes, and help guide our
research efforts
- Industry suppliers share our vision, provide
expertise in their technical areas, and support our research,
collaboration and communications activities
- IBACOS, a consulting company focused on home
quality and performance, leads our research activities and manages
day-to-day operations
- Education and media partners help us share
what we're learning with the industry and consumers
